Bahrain's Dragon City to open in September

Bahrain's Dragon City, a major retail project in the western part of Diyar Al Muharraq, is expected to be inaugurated in September, according to a report that quoted ZG Keung, the vice-president of Chinamex, the operating company.
Construction work in the project will be completed and wholesale and retail trade facilities will become operational in June, said the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
Being built over an area of 115,000 sq m with 55,000 sq m of retail and wholesale area, the retail concept is focused on Chinese goods and establishments.
Keung said the Dragon City will contribute significantly into the national economy of Bahrain. It will provide jobs and training opportunities and will attract considerable Chinese investments in addition to large numbers of tourists from China.
He added that the Dragon City will be another success story similar to the first Chinese City in Dubai, UAE.
The Dragon City in Bahrain will become a re-exportation centre for Chinese products from Bahrain to the countries of the region.
Keung has expressed confidence that the Dragon City in Diyar Al Muharraq will be able to attract more Chinese and Asian investments and companies interested in making Bahrain their regional hub.
