Sharjah : The Sharjah Econ-omic Development Department (SEDD) launched new e-Services on its revamped website (www.sedd.ae) that aim to facilitate communication with investors and enable them to access the department's services with ease.
Since the recent renovation of its website, SEDD has been working on launching a range of new services. The first new services included investor licence inquiries, payment voucher printouts, investor registration via internet, and government department licence inquiries.
The SEDD website also allows visitors access to SEDD procedures, econ-omic reports published by the department, the latest decisions and news about the department, and inquiries about companies operating within the emirate of Sharjah.
To enhance communication with investors, SEDD has also added "Ask the Economic Expert" and "Ask the Legal Expert" services on its new website, enabling investors to communicate online with the department's experts to get the necessary information and details about SEDD services.
Short Message Services (SMS) were launched to enable investors to track status changes and enable the department to communicate directly with them, and the website also offers a careers portal, along with comments and suggestions links.
Speaking of the new services, Youmna Al Noman, director of SEDD's IT Department, said: "The launch of SEDD's new-look website reflects the great technological development being witnessed in Sharjah, thanks to the support and directives of the Ruler of Sharjah and the follow-up of the Crown Prince for the e-Government project, as well as the SEDD's transition into the realm of e-Services".
