UAE, Mauritius sign investment protection agreement

The United Arab Emirates and Mauritius signed an agreement on Monday to increase the level of investment between the two countries.

Under the agreement, the countries will protect investments from arbitrary and discriminatory measures, according to an emailed statement from the UAE Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.

The UAE and the Indian Ocean island nation also committed to promoting and encouraging investments “through establishing favourable conditions to attract investors and permitting the establishment of these investments according to their laws.”
