Ministry of Energy signs contract with PwC

ABU DHABI, 12th March, 2017 The UAE Ministry of Energy signed a contract with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) whereby the global professional services network will conduct a technical and economic study of the UAE's electricity sector.

PwC will analyse and forecast current and future demand on power and the sector's plans and polices for production, distribution and operation in the medium and long-term (to 2030) The study, which covers the Emirates National Grid, involves risk assessment, development of solutions, identification of future opportunities as well as proposing recommendations to ensure increasing demand on power will be met.

The national electricity and water authorities are funding the study, noted Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, who signed the contract with officials from PwC.
