Japan's JGC inks $98m deal for Bahrain gas storage, pipeline

Japan's JGC Corp has signed a $98.7 million deal with Bahrain's Nogaholding to build a storage and pipeline facility at Bahrain's gas plant project, the Gulf company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The new contract is part of a plan to bolster the plant's gas processing capacity to 653 million standard cubic feet per day, the company said.

Commissioning of the Bahrain gas project is expected in the fourth quarter of 2018, it said.

This project will include a land reclamation phase and the installation of two additional storage tanks, together with ancillary equipment.
